According to a press release shared early this year, “award-winning plant-based chain” Burger Patch is expanding to Oakland, marking the “first outpost for the brand outside of its home base in the greater Sacramento region.”

Coming to 326 23rd Street , the location will land near establishments such as Calabash, Low Bar, and True Burger.

“Oakland is a model for community spirit,” shares co-founder Phil Horn . “That type of connectedness is foundational to our values. There’s an edgy and creative energy in Oakland that matches our desire to challenge the status quo and change people’s minds with our food.”

For readers who are unfamiliar with Burger Patch, the press release offers an introduction: “From popular brick-and-mortar locations to festival and event appearances, Burger Patch has been a staple throughout Northern California serving their modern ingredients with nostalgic taste to over 500,000 customers.”

The outpost was originally slated to open in the spring. Follow Burger Patch on Facebook for updates.
