Nebraska Appeals Court upholds sentencing in domestic assault case
Custer County, Neb. — The Nebraska Court of Appeals has upheld the sentencing and conviction of a Sargent man charged with domestic assault. Court records said in November 2021, Justin Spencer, 39, was charged with third-degree domestic assault with a prior conviction and habitual criminal. The charges stemmed from a September 2021 incident where Spencer’s wife reported she was assaulted by Spencer, causing injuries.

Nebraska receiving $307M as part of EPA $4.3 billion funding to reduce climate pollution
The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy will receive $307 million to boost “climate-smart” agriculture and reduce agricultural waste from livestock, officials said.
