Blogger ordered to pay $25K in costs for defamation case
COEUR d’ALENE — A Post Falls blogger found liable for defamation must pay about $25,000 in costs associated with the case, in addition to the $1.1 million judgment. In May, a Kootenai County jury unanimously found that Summer Bushnell defamed Post Falls resident Eric Posey when she falsely accused him of exposing himself during Pride in the Park 2022.
Idaho Water Users Continue to Negotiate Water Agreement Terms
Pocatello, ID – Senior water right and junior water right users are continuing to negotiate agreement terms and an improved mitigation plan for Idaho’s water users. Farmers and irrigators from the Surface Water Coalition and Idaho Ground Water Association most recently met in Pocatello to resume discussions for a groundwater management plan that will recharge the Eastern Snake River Plain Aquifer, ensure a sustainable water supply for the state’s agriculture industry, and protect private property rights.

The property that Chad Daybell formerly owned and that was where the bodies of Tylee Ryan and JJ Vallow were found, was deeded to Daybell's former attorney, John Prior, to pay for Daybell's legal fees after he was convicted of triple murder and sentenced to death.

POST FALLS, Idaho—The Kootenai County Fire Department successfully contained a structure fire in central Post Falls. According to the Kootenai County Fire Department, the fire started in a building in central Post Falls. When crews arrived, the fire was heavily engulfing the structure.
