Nineteen women tag gray snapper inshore, contributing to Alabama's marine studies. Weeks Bay, Ala. – (OBA) – Nineteen women gathered at the Weeks Bay Tonsmeire Resource Center for the recent Ladies Tagging Workshop, a collaborative event aimed at building angling skills and contributing to ongoing conservation research. Led by Sarah Gibbs, a PhD student at the University of South Alabama, the workshop focused on tagging gray snapper to aid in understanding their population dynamics and studying the barriers women face in recreational fishing.
