Local restaurant vandalized with racist graffiti; local businesses pitch in to help clean it up
A local, beloved Mediterranean restaurant was vandalized yesterday, but thanks to other local businesses, the racist remarks have already been cleaned off their windows. Lavash Cafe, located at 2985 N. High St. in Clintonville since 2008, posted on their Instagram account that someone vandalized their doors with racist graffiti, but that the community is rallying behind them. “We love our Clintonville neighborhood because of moments like this,” Lavash posted. “Last night, someone messaged us after discovering racist graffiti on our windows and new vinyl bakery door.”

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A map is out that shows what John Glenn International Airport will look like once a $2 billion terminal project is complete. Planning on the terminal is moving forward after $250 million in contracts were approved by the board of the Columbus Regional Airport Authority in June. The project is anticipated to have an early 2025 groundbreaking and be completed in 2029. The 36-gate terminal will completely replace the existing one that has three concourses, multiple security checkpoints and just 34 gates, with its oldest sections dating to the 1950s.

Pretentious Barrel House Announces Closure
The city’s first sour ale brewery is closing its doors after seven years. Pretentious Barrel House announced earlier today that Aug. 11 will be its final day of business. Founded by Josh Martinez, Pretentious Barrel House opened at 745 Taylor Ave. in 2017 as Columbus’ first brewery to specialize exclusively in barrel-aged sour ales.
