Vote! Decide this week's Marion County Athlete of the Week with 29 nominees to choose from

The 2024-25 Florida high school sports season is alive and well for fall sports, including the granddaddy of them all, football.

Volleyball teams around the county opened their schedules last week as well. Trinity Catholic, Lake Weir, Meadowbrook Academy, and Vanguard were the only teams to survive the first wave of games undefeated. Marion County football teams made plenty of noise, too, producing several Athlete of the Week nominees.
