Theatre Review: ‘Legally Blonde: The Musical’ at City of Fairfax Theatre Company
Elle Woods takes center stage in the City of Fairfax Theatre Company’s summer production. Based on the 2001 novel and movie of the same name, “Legally Blonde: The Musical” follows our favorite sorority girl as she makes her mark at Harvard Law School, all in pursuit of her ex-boyfriend, Warner Huntington III (Patrick Kearney). When arriving at Harvard, Elle quickly learns Warner is engaged to a fellow student, Vivian (Rose Hutchison). To prove that she is serious about Warner and law school, Elle enlists teacher aid, Emmett (Daniel DeVera), to help her in school and eventually defend the exercise queen, Brooke Wyndham (Olivia Clavel-Davis). With an fun score by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, you’ll leave bending and snapping all the way home.

A Fairfax City man has been charged with reckless use of a firearm after allegedly firing a gun inside his home last week. The City of Fairfax Police Department says its officers responded to the 10000 block of Whitehead Street in the Old Fairfax Mews townhomes at 12:26 a.m. on July 15 after a resident reported that a gun was fired into their home.
