Who is Aubreigh Wyatt’s mom, Heather?

Since Aubreigh Wyatt’s untimely death, her mother, Heather Wyatt, has been outspoken on social media about Aubreigh’s alleged struggle with cyberbullying.

Heather claimed Aubreigh faced extreme bullying online, particularly from her peers in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

According to The Sun Herald , her posts were viewed millions of times on Facebook and TikTok , sparking other accounts’ calls for “justice” for Aubreigh.

The parents of four teenage girls filed a defamation lawsuit against Heather on July 8, 2024.

In the suit, they claim Heather wrongly accused their daughters of cyberbullying Aubreigh, which led to widespread online harassment of the teens.

The parents claimed that Aubreigh died from other causes and “had previously attempted suicide and did not receive the proper medical attention,” according to the complaint, filed by attorneys Patrick Guild and Tim Holleman of Boyce Holleman & Associates in Gulfport.

Although Heather did not name the four teens or threaten them herself, other online users soon did.

The four minors’ names, photos, and private information were shared and reposted several times, with at least one girl having her home address shared publicly.

Heather was also served a legal notice demanding that she cease from further posts that could endanger the four girls.

The order said that she must temporarily close all her social media accounts “to protect the minor children involved in this case,” as reported by The Sun Herald .

Newsweek reports that the bullying allegations were found to be “unsubstantiated” by local authorities.
