2024 John Cooke Founders Day Festival announced

OCEANA, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One of the most exciting annual events in the Wyoming County area, the Town of Oceana ‘s John Cooke Founders Day Festival will kick off this weekend.

Set to begin at 2:00pm on Friday, July 12, 2024, the event will feature three days of family-friendly activities and performances. The festival will run through the weekend, concluding on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at 10:00pm.

Included as part of the festival’s schedule of events will be a duck race, beauty pageant, and a fishing event set to be held at Kirkendoll Pond.

Live entertainment has also been announced as part of the proceedings, with award-winning live magician Joseph Young set to perform, along with music from a DJ, the Floyd McCoy Band, and more.

Vendors will be on-site for the event as well, along with a dunk tank, child blowups, and the Southern Highland Cow Petting Zoo.
