Al Toque Peruvian Kitchen Opening First Brick-and-Mortar in Oceanside

After serving San Diego through pop-ups for the past three years, Al Toque Peruvian Kitchen is preparing to open its first brick-and-mortar in Oceanside at 1906 Oceanside Blvd.

The company’s first storefront will land in a 2,500-square-foot space in the Oceanside Village Square , according to Eater San Diego . While the company, led by owners Stephan Garcia, Rhandy Heredia, and Angelo Luna , will continue to host weekly pop-ups at Five Suits Brewing, the hope is to open the new restaurant in Spring 2024 . On top of having delicious food, the space will have flatscreen TVs, games, and a bar with plenty of draft beer and wine.

When the new Peruvian restaurant opens in a couple of months, the menu will feature a handful of classic dishes that were found at the pop-ups, as well as new menu items. Customers can expect Peruvian classics, such as Peruvian beef stir fry, ceviche, lomo saltado, and much more. The restaurant’s website features an extended menu full of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. This appears to be the first of many restaurants for the trio, who tell Eater they would like to open at least six or seven more restaurants in the San Diego area.

While the exact location and concepts have yet to be revealed, it shows the founders of Al Toque are getting ready to expand their presence throughout San Diego. Until then, interested customers can try their food from Thursday through Sunday at Five Suits Brewing in Vista and the rest of the week posted up at various spots throughout San Diego. The company also plans to continue to use the trailer for catering and other events.
