Oconee County BOC Announces Millage Rate Reduction for the Fourth Consecutive Year
The Oconee County Board of Commissioners (BOC) is pleased to announce that it has lowered the millage rate for the fourth year in a row, helping to relieve the financial burden of property tax assessment increases on property owners. This is the third consecutive year that the county has provided a full rollback of the millage rate. A full rollback excludes growth due to inflation over the past year.
GDOT Requests Feedback on Proposed Roundabout at SR 53 & Malcom Bridge Rd/Rays Church Rd
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is requesting review and feedback on the proposed project. We appreciate your participation in this process. This project proposes to install a single lane roundabout at the intersection of State Route (SR) 53 and Malcom Bridge Road/Rays Church Road. The proposed improvements would consist of a single lane roundabout with mountable truck curb, flush and raised medians on all approaches, five-foot sidewalk at the roundabout only, and pedestrian crosswalks.
