Massachusetts man killed during motorcycle training exercise in Birmingham
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A man died after crashing his motorcycle during a training session at Barber Motorsports in Birmingham Monday. Abraham D. Schwartz, 41, was killed just before noon Monday while taking part in a two-day training school on the racetrack at Barber, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office. Schwartz was originally from Dover, Massachusetts and had come to Birmingham to take part in the training exercise when he crashed his motorcycle.

Woman charged after high-speed police chase ends in Rainbow City
GADSDEN, Ala. (WBRC) - A woman has been arrested after a high-speed vehicle chase, initiated by the Gadsden Police Department, ended in Rainbow City Sunday morning. The Gadsden Police Department says in the early morning hours on Sunday, July 21, officers were called to the Clubview area in response to reports of a suspicious vehicle. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver, identified by police as Stephanie O’Bryant, fled the scene. O’Bryant led officers on a high-speed chase that reached speeds in excess of 100 mph.
