Lane closures expected along Crane Ave beginning Monday

ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- The City of Odessa has announced a lane closure on Crane Avenue that is expected to begin on July 8 as part of a reconstruction project.

Beginning Monday, there will be a double right-hand lane closure for north-bound traffic along south Crane Avenue. There will be one lane of traffic in each direction between Charles Street to the south side of the overpass at I-20, on the west side of Crane Avenue and a detour will be in place for both Crane Avenue and Pool Road at Anderson Ave.

Additionally, Dwayne Street and Pool Road will be closed to thru traffic, between Crane Avenue and Anderson Avenue.

The lane and road closures will be for Reece Albert (a contractor for the City of Odessa) who will be working on the reconstruction of Crane Avenue and area utilities. Phase One will consist of water main line, main line valve, and manhole replacement. All businesses and residents will have access to their properties at all times.

Drivers are asked to follow all traffic control devices, use alternate routes, and expect delays while construction is in progress. Completion date for Crane Ave is scheduled for September of 2025.
