ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- One person was arrested Tuesday after leading multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Ector County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety, on a police pursuit across Odessa.

According to Ector County Sheriff Mike Griffis, the suspect, identified as Seth Amos, was wanted by the U.S. Marshal’s on a federal warrant; Griffis did not know the exact charge but said Amos could face new charges, including evading arrest.

Amos was captured on video leading investigators up West County Road; he was then seen speeding down 42 nd Street, where the chase ended in front of Starbucks.

Griffis called Amos’ actions “reckless” and “dangerous” and said that the penalties for evading should be increased to try and prevent more people from committing crimes that put innocent citizens in danger.

Amos has a long criminal history, according to jail records, dating back to 2010; he’s been charged multiple times with evading arrest, burglary, drug possession, injury to a child, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and more.

We will update this story as more details become available.
