Leaders at ECISD focus on the “Art of Reflection” for upcoming school year

ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – Leaders and staff at ECISD focused on the “Art of Reflection” for this year’s Leadership University.

This local conference lasts three days, and aims to build better leaders in the district.

“We know, based on solid research, that a leader uses reflection in his or her practice, is a more effective leader,” said superintendent Dr. Scott Muri. “And our staff and kids deserve the leaders and this organization to be the best that we can find.”

The conference also features keynote speakers and panels to ensure administrators are prepared for the upcoming school year.

“The biggest goal is to continue to improve. We’ve been on a really tremendous journey for the past five years and had a lot of improvement in a variety of areas, and the goal this year is to continue on that journey,” said Dr. Muri.

The Leadership University took place from July 22-24.

Administrators said they’re looking forward to making this school year the best one yet.
