Valdosta celebrates opening of South Georgia’s very first indoor pickleball facility
VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - South Georgia is getting its first indoor pickleball facility. Two Hahira residents, Thomas Provost a former Valdosta State tennis champion and Chris Connell, owner of the local Medicare Brokerage, Your Life Agency, along with a third friend Magnus Fortunat who lives in Houston, Texas are the owners of this new facility.
Women’s Golf Opens Fall Season Monday At Tiger Classic
MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's golf team is set to open its fall season on Monday, Aug. 26 at the Tiger Classic in Clemson, South Carolina. The one day, 36-hole tournament will feature 16 teams at the Walker Course on the campus of Clemson University. This year's Mercer team features four returning players from last year's team along with two freshmen and one transfer.
