Services Announced For Ohio County Infant Miya Rudd
OWENSBORO (07/17/24) – Services have been announced for the Ohio County infant reported missing last month and later found dead. Eight-month-old Miya Rudd had been reported missing after a welfare wreck of the child’s home in the Reynolds Station area on June 5th, with the body later found over a week later. Rudd’s parents, grandfather and another man have been charged in connection to the disappearance and death. A Remembrance Service and Candlelight Vigil will be held next Thursday (07/26) evening at Pleasant Valley Community Church in Owensboro. The Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro is in charge of arrangements.

Fordsville Man Arrested After Chase
In Ohio County, a routine traffic stop escalated when 35-year-old Christopher Richards of Fordsville, fled into the woods to evade arrest. Richards, who had an outstanding warrant, attempted to escape on his motorcycle after being stopped by sheriff’s deputies on State Route 69 North. The chase continued on foot with a deputy pursuing Richards into the woodland area. The incident concluded without any injuries as Richards was apprehended and taken into custody. He now faces additional charges for fleeing police and is currently held in the Ohio County Jail.
