My recent visit to Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ was nothing short of a culinary adventure. The Ultimate buffet option was a delight, especially the Beef Tongue and Japanese Chicken Karaage. The Beef Tongue had a unique taste that was surprisingly pleasant, and the meat was fresh as can be. The Japanese Chicken Karaage was a hit too, perfectly seasoned and crispy.

The Egg Soup and Vanilla Mochi Ice Cream were also part of the buffet, and they did not disappoint. The soup was comforting and the ice cream was a sweet ending to the meal. I also tried the a la carte Spicy Tofu Chigae Soup, which added a nice kick to the meal.

What made the experience even more enjoyable was the built-in gas grill at each table. It was fun to cook the raw beef, pork, chicken, and shrimp right at the table. The server was extremely helpful, explaining what each plate was and how long to cook it. The only suggestion I have is to provide a written list of what's on the table and the cooking times, as it was a lot to remember.

The service was beyond great, and the overall experience was fantastic. I've eaten at several Gyu-Kaku's across the US, and the consistency in taste and service is impressive. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ is a must-visit. Just remember, if you're in a large group, you might want to specify how you want your orders served to ensure everyone gets to try everything. Happy grilling!
