Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at El Tipico Restaurant, a local gem known for its authentic Mexican cuisine. The occasion was a friend's birthday, and El Tipico proved to be the perfect spot for a celebration. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff treated us like family, making the experience even more enjoyable.
The menu at El Tipico is diverse and caters to various dietary preferences, offering both traditional and gluten-free or vegan options. All dishes are prepared with organic ingredients, which I believe enhances the flavor and texture. I particularly enjoyed the p2 and the tapas, both of which I highly recommend. The black squid rice was a unique dish, albeit a bit on the salty side. The steak was the standout main course, while the roast chicken and duck were decent, but what really stole the show was the mashed potatoes that accompanied them.
Despite being housed in an old building, El Tipico is clean and well-maintained, with parking and entrance conveniently located at the back. It's no wonder that this restaurant has been a favorite among locals for over 30 years. If you're in the Toledo area and craving authentic Mexican food, El Tipico is definitely worth a visit. Just remember to give Milo, the favorite customer and service dog, a pat on your way in!
