If you're looking for a quintessential American restaurant with a lively sports bar, Rockne's Pub Akron is the place to be. It's the perfect spot to hang out with friends and enjoy a game. The burgers here are massive, so much so that they call them 'mini' with a hint of irony. Although they don't come with fries, you can order a generous portion on the side.
The dessert options are also worth a try, despite the sundae's ice cream being slightly freezer burnt on my visit. The chicken quesadilla is another must-try, and they're flexible enough to serve the lettuce on the side if you prefer. And if you're a fan of cheesesticks, you're in for a treat - they're some of the best around.
The atmosphere at Rockne's is even better than the food, with some of the best waitstaff in the business. It's a place that leaves you wanting to return, and I certainly will. It's a great experience that deserves another visit, and another chance to impress. And hey, if you're into spiritual shops, there's one just a couple of blocks away. So why not make a day of it?
