Hey fellow foodies! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Don Pocha Korean BBQ and let me tell you, it was an experience to remember. The marinated beef and spicy stewed pork rib soup (Kalbi Jjim) were absolutely divine, a must-try for anyone who steps foot in this place.
The restaurant was quiet during lunch, which was a nice change from the bustling dinner crowd. The staff was attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The LA Kalbi was a standout, living up to all my expectations. The BBQ meat was of great quality, and the variety of dishes on offer was impressive.
The sides and sauces were endless, ranging from sweet, mild, salty, spicy, to vinegary. The red bean, kimchi, pickled radish, green onion, soy sauce, garlicky, sesame were all fresh and delicious. The potato salad that sometimes comes as a side dish with BBQ orders was a pleasant surprise.
The soy garlic chicken wings, beef and pork combo, squid bibimbap, and pork jowl were all well made, though some dishes could use a bit more flavor. The KBBQ can get a bit heavy with meat, so a combo with seafood would be a nice addition.
The atmosphere was lively with current K-pop music playing in the background. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. It's a great spot for a casual date, good KBBQ, small groups, or family gatherings. Can't wait to go back and try another combo or dish!
