My recent visit to an upscale American-Japanese restaurant left me with mixed feelings. Known for its bento boxes and sashimi, the place promised an exquisite dining experience. However, the reality was a bit different. The ambiance was less than inviting, with a cluttered and disorganized appearance that extended from the dining area to the restrooms. It seemed as though storage took precedence over customer comfort, with clean dishes resting on chairs and boxes in places they simply shouldn't be.
The service was a rollercoaster, to say the least. While some staff members were friendly, offering generous portions and complimentary soup, others seemed to be in a rush to close, with a push to pay and leave before we could even savor our meal. This abruptness, coupled with a lack of cleanliness in serving utensils, raised concerns about the overall hygiene standards of the establishment.
Despite the bustling lunch crowd and the occasional culinary show, the experience was overshadowed by the lack of attention to detail and the pressing need for a more coordinated and professional approach to hospitality. While the food itself was passable, the environment and service left a lot to be desired. It's a place with potential that unfortunately falls short on execution.
