If you're a fan of Korean BBQ, Don Pocha Korean BBQ is a spot you'll want to check out. The marinated beef and Kalbi Jjim (spicy braised short ribs) are absolute must-tries. I recently had a meal here and was blown away by the freshness and flavors. The kimchi was exactly to my taste, and the kimchi pancake alongside the pork platter was a delight. Although the service dipped a bit towards the end, the staff was friendly and helpful whenever we needed them. The atmosphere is simple, focusing more on the food and less on fancy decor, which I personally appreciate. The BBQ booths are cozy and well-maintained, making the self-cooking part of the experience enjoyable.
During a quieter lunch visit, the service was exceptionally attentive, and the LA Kalbi did not disappoint. The side dishes, or banchans, were varied and delicious, adding to the overall meal. Although I'd suggest skipping the oxtail soup and crispy pork, as they were a bit underwhelming, the overall experience was very satisfying. The restaurant seems to be quite popular during dinner, so plan accordingly. Despite a small hiccup with seating during busy times, the quality and quantity of food served make it worth a visit. I'm already planning my next visit to try more from their menu!
