In a recent episode of The Rashad Richey Morning Show the weekly segment " Run Tell That " featured an insightful interview with former Ohio state senator and social justice advocate, the Honorable Nina Turner . The topic of voter disillusionment among young Americans, particularly those from marginalized communities, was recently discussed. The conversation centered on the growing sense of disconnection and apathy among this demographic towards the political system.

A key theme that emerged was the perceived failure of policymakers to address the pressing economic issues faced by young Americans, such as student debt, healthcare, and living costs. Many young voters feel that their concerns are not being taken seriously and are instead being ignored or tokenized by politicians.

The struggle for racial equality and justice was also highlighted as a major concern for marginalized communities. The lack of meaningful action from policymakers to address systemic racism and racial injustice has led to a sense of betrayal and mistrust among these communities.

The discussion also touched on the issue of war and defense spending, with some participants expressing frustration at the disproportionate allocation of resources towards military endeavors while neglecting critical domestic issues.

The Democratic Party's handling of these issues was also scrutinized, with some critics arguing that the party has been too slow to act and too willing to compromise with conservative forces.

Overall, the interview highlighted the deep-seated concerns and disillusionment among young Americans from marginalized communities, particularly in regards to economic issues, racial justice, and political representation.
