DAYTON, OH- The Richmond Heights Spartans has done it again taking home the Div. IV state title defeating Berlin Hiland 62-35 in usual fashion at University of Dayton Arena.

It didn't take long for the Spartans to take command of the game after a first couple minutes where Berlin had the lead 5-0 at the 5:32 mark of the first quarter, a very early lead but that would be all the Hawks would put together during the course of the game. Richmond Heights would lead the rest of the way and win every quarter.

Richmond Heights was led by junior guard Damarious Winters who finished the game with 19 points, 7 rebs and 3 assists. Another high profile junior guard Dorian Jones helped with 13 points, 3 rebs, and 1 assist to put the icing on the cake so to speak.

Berlin Hiland was led by Nick Wigton who had an early 3-point shot that would put the Hawks up 3-0 finished the game with 16 points, 5 rebs and 1 assist.

This is Richmond Heights 3rd straight OHSAA State title in five tries dating back to 2019, Head Coach Quentin Rogers who also is the part-time athletic director guided this team without D'Erick Barber for a good portion of the season and transfer T.J. Crumble over the second half of the season due to an issue with eligibility from the association.

The Spartans despite the loss of to highly recruited athletes in Barber and Crumble continued on and played with 5 starters from last year's state title team, this says a lot about what's to return in the 24-25 campaign just graduating 5 seniors.
