DAYTON, OH- Back-to-back for Lutheran East boys basketball program as they skate by Canal Winchester Harvest Prep 45-36 in the Div. III OHSAA state championship game.

Many were surprised at the low scoring output from both teams, many who have watched both programs anticipated a high scoring game. Shooting was the key to this game as Lutheran East shot 50% from the field while Harvest Prep shot 37% from the field and 1 for 15 from behind the 3-point stripe.

Not a bad first half from both teams as Lutheran East would lead 30-22 at the half, then it was a tale of two halves as Harvest Prep went into a scoring slump only scoring 2 points in the 3rd quarter which they could not recover from even with a run at the end of the 4th quarter, it still would not be enough.

Lutheran East senior and Michigan State commit Jesse McCulloch was on a mission from the tip, leading all scorers in game with 18 points, 9 rebs, 4 blocks and numerous dunks to take home the crown, scoring most of his points in the first quarter with 8.

Khalil Daniel was a bright spot for the Warriors scoring 9 points, 7 rebs, 1 assist, and 1 block but would be defeated with the lack of team shooting throughout the game.

Lutheran East claims it's 5th title in program history now add back to back to the list of memories for this team for the season.
