    Reno Saccoccia, Chuck Kyle, Robert Smith and Ted Ginn Jr. accept induction into NHSFHOF

    Canton, OH- The National High School Football Hall of Fame just got bigger and better with the addition of coaches and players who made an impact on Ohio High School Football.

    Reno Saccoccia a long time head football coach for Stuebenville made his mark during his career coaching the game of football, he is Ohio's all-time winningest coach with 427 wins according to the OHSAA.

    Saccoccia during his speech he elaborated on all the family, friends, coaches and players and parents who supported him along his journey speaking to a crowd of supporters who took a few rows in the balcany area of Umstadtt Hall.

    "My entire life has been a miracle," said Saccoccia during his acceptance speech, "Our success was built around our players and parents and the reason why I say that is our parents raised us to be 'we' people."

    Chuck Kyle sat patiently as he waited to tell his story of coaching at St. Ignatius High School, he amassed 11 state championships, 377 wins and countless atheletes going on to play at the next level and beyond.

    "I'm definitely honored to be named within this class, look at all the wonderful names of great players that are listed there it's such an honor," said Kyle during meet and greet interview.

    Kyle during his acceptance speech did not disappoint as he started from the beginning of his career starting in 1983 as an educator, track and football coach.

    "What I believed I had to do was to take these young men at a very, very early age of thier life and put to use the game of football the best sport their is, and through the game of football I wanted to teach them simply this, I wanted to teach them to prepare mentally, physically and spiritually for any challenge they'll ever have in life," said Kyle during his induction speech.

    Robert Smith a product of Euclid High School where he became the first to win Ohio Mr. Football twice ('88-'89) and where he rushed for over 5,000 yards and 67 touchdowns for his high school career. He also particpated in track as a spinter running the 100, 200 and 400 meters.

    Smith kept his induction speech short due to some issues with his vocal cords as he asked the crowd to bare with him, "What the high school hall of fame represents I think it's just so important you know because high school football inperticular I think it represents community in a way that you don't necessarily and certainly have to perceive the future with college football." said Smith.

    Cleveland Glenville's Ted Ginn Jr. a talented athlete with a pedigree of football that acompanies him, son of the great Ted Ginn Sr. made his mark on the field as a fast and agile athlete.

    Ginn played multiple positions throughout his career as a tarblooder, Ohio State Buckeye and 14 seasons around the NFL.

    "Being a kid from Cleveland, Oh the inner city, my whole family was just Glenville, Glenville, Glenville, Glenville my sister went there, my mom my dad my whole entire family," said Ginn jr. "All I wanted to do is be the best guy out of my family."

    Ginn jr. also thanked his mother as we all always hear about Ginn Sr. "Just giving praise and thanks to my mom, you always hear about my dad but you never see what the mom doing," Ginn explained to the onlookers in the crowd.

    Gerry Faust (Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller High School) was also in attendence and made speech but Ohsfbmedia was having technical difficulties during his time.

    Orlando Pace (Sandusky), Charles Woodson (Freemont Ross) were also inducted in the '24 class but was not in attendence.

    The National High School Football Hall of Fame is partnerd with Canton Mckinley Athletics to bring you this awards presentation.
