Massillon Tigers will play in Nike Kickoff Classic week one of high school football season

Massillon, OH- The reigning Division II OHSAA State Champion Massillon Tigers will be on the road week one of the high school football season, the tigers will be making a trip to Beaverton, Oregon in the Nike Football Kickoff Classic hosted at Nike World Headquarters.

The Tigers will face the NFL Academy (United Kingdom), the game will take place Thursday, Aug. 22 at 6:30 ET playing in Ronaldo Field named after soccer sensation Cristiano Ronaldo.

There will also be an additional girls flag football game played before the tackle game.

"The Nike Football Kickoff Classic brings fresh excitement to the start of the high school football season, for the third consecutive year, Nike has given us something to look forward to as the season begins," said Roman Oben, Vice President of NFL Development in a press release.

The Nike Football Kickoff Classic will be streamed live on the NFL Youtube Channel, the NFL Network will re-air the game on Saturday, August 31.
