Kelsey Mitchell a product of Princeton High School in Cincinnati continues to contribute to the Indiana Fever's success the last 5 games of this regular season, winning four straight before suffering a loss to the rival Chicago Skyy in a close game ending in a one point defeat.

Mitchell has remained consistant this season starting 16 of 18 games played by the Fever averaging 16.4 points a game and remarkably scoring in double figures in this last five game stretch, scoring 24 versus the Skyy in that loss.

Playing next to and leading the most talked about rookie in the league Caitlin Clark is starting to pay dividends for the middle of the road franchise.

"I'm playing alongside this kid (points to Clark), so it makes everything, you know, a little more dramatic and, like, they prefer coming out to see this person. We just do what we can. We embrace it," said Mitchell in a interview with Athlon Sports Matt Audilet after a game against the Washington Mystics earlier this month.

It looks as if the Fever is hitting their stride midway through this season, chemistry is better and finishing at the rim has gotten a little more efficient but by all regards the defense has to step up in order to be in contention to make playoffs.

Mitchell played her college ball at the Ohio State University where she starred for four years eventually being drafted the number two overall pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft.

Mitchell won a OHSAA Girls State Championship with Princeton in 2014 playing against Stark County's North Canton Hoover where she scored a game high 30 points, a moment Im sure she will never forget.
