**This information is compiled from data from the time of the O.J. Simpson double murder trial around March of 1995**

Brett Cantor was a young brilliant mind in the music business having success as a music executive who managed acts such as Dione Warwick, B.J. Thomas, among a few notables, also dabbled in the night club business as a small minority owner into DragonFly, a hangout for the rich and famous in the Brentwood area of West Los Angeles, also dating actress Rose McGowen.

“The Pied Piper of People;” said McGowen about her then boyfriend to Foxnews.com

Cantor was 25 years old when his life was taken away at the hands of a gruesome homicide, the young music exec was found dead in his home with multiple stab wounds, one more specific to the neck area almost decapitated him.

This murder was in July of 1993 almost a year to date of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman’s horrid double murders that has yet to be solved, there was similar characteristics in the Cantor and Simpson, Goldman murders, one in particular was it was a stabbing and near decapitation to ensure the deed was done.

Now many may wonder what’s the connection to O.J. Simpson? Well for starters the nightclub Cantor was part owner of was frequented by none other than Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman adding Goldman was once a waiter at the club for some time.

Cantor’s name not only rang bells in Hollywood but among law enforcement particularly the FBI, as he was subject to an investigation into the drug trade that plagued the Hollywood party scene during those times.

Although those theories had no sufficient evidence, just speculation in the investigation that was not complete at the time of his murder.

The connection to O.J. Simpson (July 9, 1947-Apr 10, 2024) was during his double murder trial for Nicole and Ron, then lead lawyer Johnnie Cochran after getting information about the Cantor murder due to the unmasking of information that Goldman worked at the nightclub and Nicole was a patron, asked then trial Judge Lance Ito if he could access the files of the unsolved case in hopes of coming up with a defense for O.J. Simpson since the deaths were very similar.

O.J’s defense team urged that since the three killings were similar that the same person committed them, Ito approved the request and ultimately it was not introduced in trial.

Many experts speculate that the dealings of Cantor, Brown-Simpson and Goldman revealed some interesting information about maybe some illegal drug trade and O.J. may have gotten wind of it with his powerful connections and/or he stalked Nicole and would confront anyone he thought would get close to her.

Cochran may have revealed something that may have backfired in court if it was introduced, it was revealed in court the O.J. was a lover of knives and would use them to scare or torture Nicole because of her fear of them.

    Could O.J. have killed Cantor?

Him and Nicole were divorced and she was getting alimony and child support for their two children and was said to be enjoying her new single life according to friends and family that were close to her, many believe, well those who was of aware of the request of files believe Cochran backed off because it would probably had given the prosecution ammo and another theory.

That wouldn't be too far off thinking O.J. could have had some involvement due to the similar deaths and his known emotional outburst, love for knives and verbal abuse about Nicole’s new lifestyle and men.

Very interesting scenario of events that may never be solved due to the time, 30 years have gone by and still these three murders are unsolved with a lot of fingers pointing in one direction and that’s O.J. Simpson.
