MASSILLON, OH- On a more than perfect day during spring, high school football seniors came together for the 47th annual Ohio High School Football Coaches Association All-Star games held at Massillon Paul Brown Tiger Stadium.

    Division I-III

In the kickoff game it was the North who prevailed over the South in a dominating fashion 36-21. DaOne Owens (Massillon) was the first to take the helm for Team North and came out in a fashion that replicated what he did in the course of the regular season and postseason.

Owens found Noah Willig (Norton) early in the first quarter to put an early and easy score up on the South, he then followed up by finding Glenoak standout Avantae Burt who played wide receiver for the North on a post catch and run for his only touchdown reception on the day to go up 14-0.

Team North would not let up as Will Stack (Wadsworth) would continue where Owens left of throwing strikes as he connected with Jakorion Caffey (Avon) for a mid third quarter touchdown with 5:00 minutes left to run the score up 21-0 and also hit Anthony Fuline (Jackson, Stark Co) for a second score of the day.

Team South had not put any points on the board until the 3:02 mark of the third quarter when Diore Hubbard (Gahanna Lincoln) scampered for a touchdown to bring them within two touchdowns with a score of 21-7.

The South team would muster up two more scores one from QB Matt Pappas (Grove City) on a quarterback keeper that would add the last score of 21 for the game.

Team South would show frustrations as the game was called with a little under 2:00 minutes left because of chippiness between not just players but coaches as well.

Game MVP went to DaOne Owens, Defensive MVP went to Aurora's Dylan Crasi who had a pick six in the game, and Offensive MVP went to Noah Willig.

    Division IV-VII

In the battle for the small schools divisions of the OHSAA Team North completes the sweep for the day winning 21-7 over Team South.

This game would not see a ton of scoring as both teams failed to get a constant rhythm going, Canton South phenom Jack 'Poochie' Snyder would highlight the day once they got going and would land a couple strikes to Issaiah Ramsey (Shelby) and Gino Blasini (Kirtland) to get things going in the air attack.

McComb senior Braxton Althauser would score the first touchdown of the game on a run play with 9:03 in the first quarter.

Levi Smiley (Purcell Marian) would have the only score for Team South a touchdown reception from QB Newton Hoops from Unioto high school.

Game MVP would go to 'Poochie Snyder, Offensive MVP would land in the hands of Braxton Althauser, and the Defensive MVP would go to Landon Bockelman of Liberty Center.

Buchtel DB Zyaire Lewis was a solid force on defense the better part of the game, he is one of many kids whose college he committed to shut their doors (Notre Dame College, Cleveland) on student/athletes that were ready to start their college careers on the gridiron and in the classroom. As of now he is without a place to call home by all regards this kid needs to be signed.
