Bossier City Citizens…. BEWARE!!!! Of Water Billing Scam
Bossier City Officials wants to inform citizens that there is a scam that is falsely portraying itself as from Bossier City Water Billing. No one from the City of Bossier City or our third party service will ever ask for payment information over the phone. All transactions must be initiated by the customer through the website or via phone call (initiated by the customer) Please DO NOT give any personal or identifying information to anyone over the phone. If you have any doubts about the validity of anyone that calls you claiming to be with Bossier City, please hang up and contact the Department directly at (318) 741-8757. These types of scams are becoming more common as technology evolves. Please be alert and cautious when answering unexpected calls, especially if the caller threatens to disconnect utility service or demands immediate payment. The City of Bossier City will NEVER contact citizens via phone call to collect payment information. If you are contacted by someone claiming to be a City Water Billing employee and requesting payment information hang up and immediately call the Bossier City Police Department at (318)741-8626.

Man arrested for DWI after running stop sign, crashing into police car

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Happy Wednesday! Same story, different day. Dangerous heat continues through the entire ArkLaTex with measured highs likely rising to around 100 degrees with feels-like temps expected to rise to nearly 110. Sunny skies will dominate the region with a few clouds that will move through. There is a tiny pop-up chance for showers, but don’t hold your breath. Lows tonight will struggle to even drop to the 70s.

HEAT builds with no relief anytime soon
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Welcome to a sweltering Wednesday with another heat advisory. It’s doubtful we’ll see any relief through the end of the week. Higher humidity is bringing warmer temperatures this morning as we’ll be around 80 degrees at sunrise. Sunny skies through the morning will send our temperatures into the mid-90s by lunchtime, with highs near 100 degrees late this afternoon. Our heat index continues to be a concern with a ‘feels like’ temperature around 110 degrees this afternoon. Try to limit your time outside between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.

SHREVEPORT, La. - The heat is here to stay as another heat advisory is in effect from late Wednesday morning through the evening hours, according to the National Weather Service-Shreveport. Look for heat indices during this period to reach near 109 degrees. Actual temperatures will likely hit triple digits in some areas. If outdoor activities are planned, take extra precautions.
