    OKCPD investigates 40th homicide in the metro

    OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Authorities are investigating a shooting in Southeast Oklahoma City on Friday night that marks the 40th homicide in 2024.

    Police officers responded to a shooting on Saturday afternoon at a business in the 1200 block of Southeast 29th Street. Upon arrival officers found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he died.

    According to police officials, this appears to be a accidental discharge, striking and killing the victim.
