MCCLAIN COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) – An Oklahoma City police officer, arrested over the weekend , was in a McClain County courtroom Monday. Sgt. Ryan Stark has been charged with five counts: kidnapping, first degree rape, domestic assault and battery by strangulation, domestic assault and batter with a dangerous weapon, and threaten to perform act of violence.

The victim, who Stark had a relationship with, filed an emergency protective order against Stark Monday.

According to court records, the alleged assault happened shortly after the two left a restaurant in Goldsby Thursday night. The couple went back to Stark’s home in Blanchard, riding together in his OKCPD patrol unit.

The affidavit stated the couple started arguing on the way to Stark’s home. The victim stated Stark took her cell phone when they pulled into the driveway. According to records, when she attempted to get out of the car to get away, the victim broke her foot when Stark “accelerated” trying to keep her from getting out of the patrol car.

The victim allegedly spent eight hours inside the home, held against her will, claiming Stark “choked her, squeezed her, spat in her face and spat gum in her hair.”

According to the affidavit, she told police he repeatedly threatened to kill her and held his gun at her head and placed it into her mouth before raping her. She filed a police report from the hospital Friday.

Stark has been a K9 officer for the Oklahoma City police department for 23 years. In 2014, he shot and killed a burglary suspect who stabbed his K9 to death. He was cleared of any criminal charges in the case. Oklahoma City Police declined to comment on Saturday’s arrest but did tell KFOR that Stark has been placed on paid administrative leave.
