OSU running back Ollie Gordon II announced Monday that he's "deeply sorry" following his recent arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Gordon was pulled over at roughly 2:30 a.m. on June 30 on Interstate 35 near SW 19th Street in Moore, south of Oklahoma City. A trooper reported that Gordon was driving 82 mph in a 65 mph speed limit zone, and the 20-year-old swerved in and out of his lane twice.

According to the officer's report obtained by The Oklahoman , the trooper found "a half-full bottle of lemonade vodka and a half-full bottle of tequila" in Gordon's vehicle. A sobriety test revealed Gordon had a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .11 and .10 when tested twice at the jail. The legal drinking limit in the state of Oklahoma is a .08 BAC for persons age 21 and over.

Gordon was arrested on complaints of DUI under the age of 21, transporting an open container of alcohol, failing to manage a single lane of traffic and speeding 16-20 mph over the speed limit.

"I am deeply sorry for the actions that led to my arrest on June 30," Gordon said via X. "I sincerely apologize to my family, everyone in our program, including our players, Coach (Mike) Gundy, the staff, Oklahoma State University and our fans. Regardless of the outcome of this pending investigation, I did not uphold the values I have for myself and the values of the OSU football program.

"I am committed to learning and growing from this mistake, and I will work to earn back the trust of those who I have disappointed. Thank you."

Earlier Monday, OSU announced that Gordon would be one of four Cowboy players attending Big 12 Media Days on Tuesday in Las Vegas.

Gordon was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year as a sophomore last season for recording 1,732 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns on 285 carries. He also won the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award and the Doak Walker Award.

Gordon was voted the 2024 Big 12 Preseason Offensive Player of the Year by the media in the poll released on Tuesday. The junior will look to lead an OSU team that went 10-4 (7-3 Big 12) last season.
