    Medical heat alert allowed to expire, says EMSA

    OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – EMSA officials on Wednesday announced the medical heat alert issued on July 13th has been allowed to expire due to temperatures dropping.

    According to EMSA, during the latest Medical Heat Alert, medics responded to ten heat-related illness calls and transported seven patients to hospitals in the OKC area due to their symptoms.

    “So far in 2024, EMSA medics in the Western Division have responded to 99 heat-related illness calls and transported 69 patients to local hospitals”.
