OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – The Oklahoma City Fire Department says crews responded to the scene of a manhole rescue in Northwest Oklahoma City.

Fire officials say the call came out as a 9-1-1 call from a person who was walking their dog and noticed that someone was screaming from down inside the hole.

Emergency crews took about 20 minutes to rescue a man after being trapped in a manhole. At this time authorities are unsure as to how the man got stuck in the manhole after managing to get him out safely.

The man was taken to a hospital. No word on this condition at this time.
