WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — A few showers are lingering to the north of the area towards the Oklahoma City area. Some of those clouds and showers could hang on and move into the northern parts of Texoma, but most of the region will keep the sunny skies and triple digits for the extended forecast.

This weekend will feature additional waves of showers moving through northern Oklahoma. That will keep some slim rain chances for the far northern parts of the viewing area, with locations like Lawton and Duncan possibly seeing a stray shower during the early morning hours on Friday and Saturday.

Conditions will dry back out next week as temperatures climb back into the mid-100s for afternoon highs. Heat Advisories will likely continue for the afternoon hours into next week as well.
