State Police Seek Witnesses to Salem Rollover Crash
Salem, CT – The State Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed or has dashcam footage of yesterday’s accident on Route 85 to contact Troop K. At approximately 5:24 PM on Friday, July 19th, 2024, the Salem Vol. Fire Company, Gardner Lake Vol. Fire Company, American Ambulance Service Paramedic, and the Connecticut State Police (CSP) Troop K were dispatched to the area of 541 Hartford Rd, Route 85, for a motor vehicle accident with fire and serious injuries.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Laura Ricciardone, Head Coach of Softball, has announced that six newcomers will join the Bulldogs when they return to campus this fall. "I'm thrilled to have these six join our squad. Their competitive nature, drive to be excellent and high-level playing experience will create an immediate impact on the field, in the weight room and in our locker room," said Ricciardone. "They are coming to campus as winners, and I look forward to seeing their impact on Yale Softball over the course of their four years. We added three pitchers (Sienna, Grace, and Caitlin) to our staff, each with their own impactful style and strengths. Natalie is an astute defensive catcher who will connect beautifully with our large and dynamic pitching staff. Ella and Ella provide tremendous speed and depth in the outfield and offense. They are six intelligent, motivated, and dynamic young women who will be incredible members, not only of the Yale Softball, but the Yale community as a whole."

Convenience store burglarized overnight in Wethersfield: Police
WETHERSFIELD, Conn. — Police in Wethersfield are searching for the suspect or suspects who broke into a convenience store early Saturday morning. Police were called to the Wolcott Hill Mart on 72 Wolcott Hill Road just before 5 a.m. Saturday for a report of a break-in.
