Taco Festival Returns for Fourth Year
Taco-lovers are heading back to the Guilford Fairgrounds as the New England Taco Festival returns for its fourth year on July 27 and 28. The festival, billed as a one-of-a-kind event, spans over two days, bringing music and entertainment, along with the eponymous tacos. Thousands and thousands of tacos, according to organizers who note that the vendors will offer over 100 different kinds of tacos — everything from carne asada, shrimp tacos, barbacoa, and birria tacos to tacos al pastor, tacos de pescado, and chorizo tacos, and more.
Western Sussex Junior Softball tops Canal to win state championship
After shutting out their opponents, 34-0, in the first two games of the Junior League all-star softball state tournament, Western Sussex earned a 16-0 win over Canal last Thursday night in Milford to win the state championship. The team will move on to Eastern Regional play in Orange, Connecticut this week.

Two injured in serious motorcycle crash in Shelton
Two people were hospitalized with serious injuries Friday after their motorcycle collided with another vehicle in Shelton. According to Shelton police, emergency crews responded just after 10 p.m. Friday to several reports of a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in the area of Walnut Tree Hill Road and Thompson Street.
