The primate, which is illegal to own in the state of Connecticut, is under the care of professionals at Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport. The monkey is currently in a quarantined environment with medical evaluation.

According to the zoo, marmosets have complex social and environmental needs, including special diets, large enclosures and extensive interaction. Occasionally, they can also exhibit aggressive behavior.
