Another Coworking Hub To Close
Remote workers, local artists, and self-employed entrepreneurs who currently rent desks at Known will have to find a new place to work by mid-fall. The coworking space is officially closing at the end of October due to funding difficulties, after years of trying to stay afloat through a seismic shift in Americans’ relationship to the office.
Officials: Incoming freshman class at Uconn is the largest in school history
As members of The University of Connecticut class of 2028 moved onto campus Thursday, school officials say this year's incoming class is the largest in school history. Over 6,500 incoming first year students are enrolled in the school, including 4,500 at Storrs and the rest at campuses in Stamford, Hartford, Waterbury, and Avery Point.
USJ welcomes new faculty for 2024-2025 academic year
As the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) begins the 2024-2025 academic school year, it welcomes nine new faculty members. “We are excited to welcome eight new faculty members to USJ this fall,” said Provost Michelle Kalis. “The faculty have excellent credentials and training, and several bring a wealth of clinical/practical and research experience. These faculty will add to USJ’s tradition of student-centered faculty and engagement with the broader community.”
