Maine man faces multiple charges after allegedly assaulting woman, locking kids in room
MILFORD (WGME) -- A Maine man is accused of assaulting a woman, locking children inside a room, and threatening to blow up a house in Milford. The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office says they got a report on Monday around 12:50 a.m. that 46-year-old William Abernathy of Milford had assaulted a woman and was threatening to blow up their house. According to deputies, they found the woman who confirmed she had been assaulted.

UMA launches Maine's first aviation technician program
The University of Maine at Augusta is launching Maine's first aviation maintenance technician program, based at the Brunswick Landing aviation campus. The university heard from businesses in the aviation industry that there is a serious lack of technicians to hire, said program director Daniel Leclair.
