Governor Hochul Awards Key Contract for Syracuse’s Transformative I-81 Project
(WNY News Now) – Syracuse – Governor Kathy Hochul announced the award of the fourth construction contract for the transformative Interstate 81 Viaduct Project. The award of the $313.5 million contract to CNY Alliance will begin construction on the Community Grid along streets on Syracuse’s eastside, in the former 15th Ward neighborhood. The Community Grid will replace the elevated highway in Downtown Syracuse and will relieve existing traffic congestion challenges in the city, while improving access to and from the interstate highway network and key destinations, including the downtown business districts, area hospitals, and higher education institutions.

Midsummer Music: What’s Happening in Classic Arts This Week
Even in the middle of summer, the classic arts scene in New York is never quiet. Here is just a sampling of some of the classic arts events happening this week. The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center’s series of Summer Evening concerts continues this week with concerts July 23 and 27. The July 23 concert will feature pianist Orion Weiss, violinists Lun Li and Danbi Um, violist Paul Neubauer, cellist Sterling Elliott, and clarinetist Ricardo Morales, playing a program including works by Mozart, Richard Strauss, Robert Schumann, Ernő Dohnányi. The July 27 concert will feature violinists Sean Lee and Cho-Liang Lin, violists Aaron Boyd and James Thompson, cellist Nicholas Canellakis, and flautist Tara Helen O’Connor, playing a program of works by Beethoven, Schubert, Mozart, and Heinrich Wilhelm Ernst.
Town of Greenwich Hires New Town Administrator
First Selectman Fred Camillo has announced the hiring of Kathleen Buch as the new Town Administrator and COO. Her hiring is effective September 23, 2024. Buch’s hiring comes after a thorough, open search and she will succeed current Town Administrator and COO Ben Branyan, who has taken the position of chief financial and administrative officer of the Greenwich Public Schools. Buch is currently the Town Administrator of the Town of Darien and said she is eager for the new challenges of coming to work in Greenwich.

Terex Signs Agreement to Purchase Environmental Solutions Group (ESG) in $2 Billion Cash Deal
Norwalk, Conn.-based Terex Corporation has agreed to purchase Environmental Solutions Group (ESG) from Dover Corporation. The $2 billion all-cash transaction includes solid waste industry brands Heil, Marathon, Curotto-Can, and Bayne Thinline, as well as digital solutions such as 3rd Eye and Soft-Pak. The acquisition strengthens Terex's portfolio and customer base.
The Delecor Closes in on Completion at 250 East 83rd Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side
Construction is on the verge of completion on The Delecor, a 31-story residential tower at 250 East 83rd Street in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by The Torkian Group, the 370-foot-tall structure will span 215,608 square feet and yield 128 rental units in one- to four-bedroom layouts, a collection of penthouses, and ground-floor retail space. The property is located at the corner of Second Avenue and East 83rd Street.

Carrasquillo, the blaze can be seen engulfing a vehicle to the side of the home.
