Available to be explored now, the Kentucky Black Trailblazers is a transformative, first-of-its-kind experience that celebrates the influential Black figures who shaped the history of the Commonwealth and beyond. Six tourism agencies partnered on the project - ShelbyKY, Louisville, Oldham County, Bardstown, Elizabethtown, and Shepherdsville-Bullitt County - and received federal ARPA grant funds distributed by the Kentucky Department of Tourism to assist with project funding.
New Interstate 71 interchange opens early near La Grange business park in Oldham County
A Oldham County interchange redesigned for the purpose of reducing traffic jams near a growing La Grange business park opened Wednesday, state officials said. The interchange, located on Interstate 71 at La Grange Parkway (KY-2857), provides access to two other state highways (KY-53 and KY-393). LA GRANGE, Ky. — Drivers in Kentucky now have a new way to access LaGrange. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet opened a new interchange on I-71 in Oldham County on Wednesday. Exit 20 will direct traffic to Ernie Harris Parkway, helping to reduce congestion on Highway 53 and Highway 393.
