    Large main break leaves residents in Olney without water

    MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Crews with the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission ( WSSC ) responded to a large water main break in Montgomery County early Thursday morning.

    In a post on X, the Montgomery County Police Department said a main broke near the 19000 block of Willow Grove Road in the Olney area. During this time, residents will experience water outages.

    Garfield Park to have 7 trees removed

    As WSSC Water crews work to make repairs, the road will be closed from Olney Mill to Bloomfield Road over the next eight to nine hours, according to officials.

    Drivers in this area are encouraged to find alternative routes until the main is repaired.
