Towson two-alarm fire leaves man dead, three children injured
BALTIMORE - An early morning fire in Towson left a man dead and four other people injured, including three children, on Monday.Crews responded to the 8400 block of Greenway Road just after midnight for an apartment fire. When they arrived, there were people trapped inside a burning second-floor apartment, according to the fire department.Crews worked to rescue the individuals and put out the flames. A total of five people were taken to the hospital, including three children and two adults. A 5-year-old, 4-year-old and an infant had minor burns. One of the adults, a man, later died at the hospital.The fire department said the fire was placed under control just before 1 a.m. According to Bureau Chief Travis Francis, the Red Cross is assisting the family with housing and other necessities.At this time, investigators have not determined the cause of the fire.
