Helena man dies in high-speed crash on Canyon Ferry Road Saturday night
HELENA, Mont. - A man is dead after crashing into a boat trailer on Canyon Ferry Road at 10:46 p.m. on Saturday, July 27. A report from Montana Highway Patrol states a 28-year-old was driving on Canyon Ferry Road headed east at what is estimated to have been over 100 miles per hour. The man was driving a BMW motorcycle, according to MHP.
Blacktail Canyon Fire remains steady in size over weekend, 95% contained
UPDATE: July 28 at 8:20 a.m. The Blacktail Canyon Fire near Butte remained at 80 acres burned over the weekend. Crews now have the fire 95% contained. The public is still advised to stay out of recreation areas close to the fire zone, including the Continental Divide Trail and the Silver Bow Archery Range in Thompson Park.
