Shaggy, Rebelution Headlining Lake Tahoe Reggae Fest

The 7th annual Lake Tahoe Reggae Fest is taking place on August 3rd-4th at Palisades Tahoe, California and this all-ages festival packs a punch with its lineup.

Palisades Tahoe advertises the event as "a day filled with chill vibes and live music performances by top reggae artists set against the stunning backdrop of Lake Tahoe."

The California resort also announced that the event will happen rain or shine, but summer in Tahoe doesn't pose much of a threat of rain anyway.

This time around, Saturday's lineup features Shaggy, Atmosphere, Collie Budz, Protoje, Jesse Royal, Eli-MacArden, and Park Roots.

Bermudian artist Collie Buddz is another notable line in the lineup, with hit songs such as Love & Reggae, Come Around, and Mamacita. Collie Buddz has been making music for over a decade, so his set will probably strike a chord with younger and older members of the crowd.

On Sunday, Tahoe Reggae Fest brought in Rebelution, Cypress Hill, Tribal Seeds, Mike Love, Aurorawave, and Lizano.

This is somewhat of a local show for Rebelution, as the band was founded two decades ago right here in California.

Hit songs from Rebelution include "Lazy Afternoon", "Feeling Alright", "Santa Barbara", and my personal favorite, "Safe and Sound."

Tickets are required for this festival, but children 3 and under are free, and kid's passes for ages 4-12 years old are available as well.

Two-day, general admission tickets for adults are currently listed at $93, with VIP passes going for $190.

Sadly, I will not be in Tahoe for this one, but I am jealous of everyone who will be in attendance. Tahoe is a spectacular place, and the magic of the natural visuals all around only adds to the festival experience.
