Iowans on the southwestern border of the state may want to check out the new Smash Park in Omaha, Nebraska.

The entertainment venue popular for its pickleball courts and combination of food and recreation announced the opening of its new location in the La Vista suburb of Omaha in a news release on Thursday.

The new location comes after Smash Park announced earlier this year its plans to open a location in a Columbus, Ohio suburb. Smash Park's first location was in West Des Moines in 2018.

Smash Park donated $41,034.56 from their weeklong pre-opening celebration to the United Way of the Midlands Nebraska & Iowa Tornado Relief Fund to benefit the communities of Omaha, Council Bluffs, Elkhorn, Minden and Blair following destruction from tornadoes earlier this year, according to the news release.

Here’s what to know about the new Smash Park location.

Where is the new Smash Park located in Omaha?

Smash Park is located at 8121 S. 125th St., La Vista. The Omaha location is due to the "high local interest in pickleball" that analysis found, said Smash Park CEO Monty Lockyear in the news release.

What can I do at the new Smash Park in Omaha?

Find 30,000 square feet of indoor fun with pickleball courts, axe throwing, duckpin bowling, a cornhole arena, digital games and more. Guests can go up to the second floor for the 21-and-up Paddle Club that offers a private karaoke suite and other entertainment, according to the news release.

The new Nebraska location also has 15,000 square feet of outdoor space that includes three pickleball courts, shuffleboard, a dog-friendly patio, yard games and a rooftop bar, according to the news release.

Visitors can dine at Smash Park and order shareables for their party, entrees and more, or visit Saturdays and Sundays for weekend brunch.
